CO-HOST PASTOR TODD

Reverend Todd A. Johnson is the youngest son of Rev. George and Lady Linda Johnson.  He received the call to preach as a teenager, was ordained a Minister at age 19, and appointed a Church Elder at the age of 25 at Agape Assembly Church, where his father pastored.

After having served as Pastor at Agape for 3 years, Reverend Johnson accepted the call to assume the pastorate of the Second Baptist Church of and began his ministry here on Sunday September 6th, 2015.  Pastor Johnson has spearheaded a renewed focus on

community outreach and evangelism, upgrades to church properties, the use of social media as a ministry outreach tool and various initiatives such as the Highland Pride playground.

Rev. Johnson is known as an advocate for youth and education.  In 2011, he founded the Warren City-Wide Youth Choir and in 2017, led the 100 Community Men of Warren in greeting students on the first day of school.  He also serves as director of the FOCUS Building, “a hub of community engagement and economic empowerment”.

 

Rev. Johnson further serves the Warren community as a board member with the Mahoning Valley Hope Center, City of Warren Civil Service Commission,

Core Pastors Group of Teen Straight Talk, and the United Way of Trumbull County.

 

Reverend Johnson is a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Community Ministry from Geneva College.  Pastor Johnson was united in marriage to the former Shameika R. Carson on June 18, 2005.  Out of this union were birthed three children, London Christine, Elias Aaron and Ethan Chandler.
